Puig is a family-owned beauty and fashion group rooted in Barcelona, home to brands such as Carolina Herrera, Jean Paul Gaultier and Rabanne. In 2024 it became a listed company, and with the listing came the obligation to deliver its first CSRD-aligned sustainability report.
Responsibilities for that report were fragmented across Communication, Finance and Sustainability. The timeline was accelerated, the corporate storytelling was still basic, and no one owned the process end to end.
I joined to take control of the entire sustainability reporting process and bring order, governance and direction in a moment of urgency: unify Communication, Sustainability and Finance around a single vision, build the operating model for CSRD reporting, set clear responsibilities and workflows, coordinate audit and leadership reviews, and lead the execution of the first group-wide sustainability report under listed-company expectations.
Helped transform sustainability reporting from a fragmented, technically complex process into a coordinated, governance-led function aligned with the expectations of a newly listed global brand.
“Alberto Monzonis is an independent sustainability professional with extensive expertise in the field, particularly in reporting. For this reason, he was selected by Puig to collaborate in leading the 2024 reporting process in a highly demanding environment due to the implementation of the new CSRD regulations and during the company’s first year as a publicly traded company. His collaboration was ultimately extended until March 2026, and he also led the reporting process for the 2025 annual report.
Throughout his first reporting cycle, Alberto quickly integrated into Puig’s teams and demonstrated a strong capacity for coordination and collaboration across departments with a pragmatic approach and a clear focus on results. He successfully facilitated and improved cohesion, role clarity, and a sense of ownership among the various areas and contributors to the reporting process (Finance, HR, Communications, Compliance, Legal, etc.), delivering the 2024 Annual Report on time and meeting CSRD and audit quality standards.
During his second reporting cycle throughout 2025, Alberto built on the experience gained and the collaboration established across teams to create and lead a C-level working group to optimize the reporting process, making it more efficient and streamlined for owners across all departments. The result was a 2025 Annual Report that better reflected Puig’s identity and positioning.
But above all these achievements, Alberto’s most outstanding contribution has been to position reporting at the highest level within the organization, making all areas understand the strategic role that this process plays and feel proud to participate in it.
It has been a pleasure to work with Alberto, both professionally and personally, and we highly recommend him to any business looking to continue raising its standards.”
